Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 845
Our Boy Scout troop is located in Richmond, Virginia in the Heart of Virginia Council. For those searching for a troop to join, we invite you to come by one of our meetings and see what we are all about.
We go on about 12 trips each year, including a week-long summer camp and a wide range of other trips which change from year to year. Trips include hiking on the Appalachian Trail, skiing, caving, biking, and camping in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Although our meetings are in Richmond, we travel all across Virginia to find the coolest adventure. And as far as advancement, we usually have about one to two new Eagle Scouts each year.
"Scouting's Journey to Excellence" is the Boy Scouts of America's new performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure performance. We are proud to be a "Gold" troop, the highest possible level.

The adults do need to discuss the upcoming bike trip a little though. Chris is planning this at Pocahontas for the weekend of June 21-23. He needs to know who intends to go - adults and scouts and if they are coming just Saturday or staying Fri-Sun. He was considering inviting some Webelos as well.
